I like Olivia more than Ava. I know they are both popular, but Olivia seems more timeless than trendy. And Ava Marie reminds me of Ave Maria.

neither, sorry. they're both sooooo overly done. if you like the old fashioned names that are really popular now, at least go with ivy or mia. olive is also a victorian name but isn't so trendy.

I love them both!  Ava is my first choice for a girl.  I recently came across Alivia- it's sort of a combination of Ava and Olivia.  Either name is beautiful, so I don't think you can go wrong!

Thanks for the insight re: Ava Maria!! That didn't even occur to me and Marie as a middle name is NON NEGOTIABLE for this one, so I think that tips the scales in Olivia's favor!
