2nd Trimester

What pack n play have you chosen?

I want it to have the bassinet attachment and changing station. A lot of the stuff I'm getting is chicco but their pack n play is a bit higher and it seems larger than the graco.  I don't need to get everything in a "matching set."

I'm curious which one you guys chose.

Re: What pack n play have you chosen?

  • I registered for the Boppy Happy Place play yard at BRU. It is really cute and has the bassinet and changing station and a music box.

  • I don't remember what it's called, but it's Graco and it has polkadots on it. It's girly looking I think but could be used for a boy. It has a changing station on it and a "newborn" sleeper for it. It has the vibrations and sounds on it as well. Found it at BRU.

  • We got the Graco Winnie the Pooh one. It comes with changing table, bassinet and mobile. It's set up and now we're just filling it with baby stuff we've gotten so far. LOL. It was $99 at target (bought it at the store not online) Big Smile
  • A Graco that's about $109.  Has the changer, looks pretty basic, but also nice, not too terribly expensive.
  • Graco Nouvelle. We wanted something pretty basic and just liked this pattern.
    The DC Nest. Winers welcome.

  • I have to say, I've been really disapointed with the "look" of the playards - anyone else feel the same? Maybe it is because I am older - in my thirties, but all of the playards seem to be such bright and loud colors or patterns. Why can't anyone make just a solid color one that will actually fit in with the decor in someone's house? lol
  • No I feel the same way. I'd prefer it to be very neutral and solid since It will be sitting in my den the majority of the time, but I can't seem to find one I like in a color I like.

  • Have you seen the Baby Bjorn one? It is expensive but gets great reviews. I think we will register for that one and hope. :) We will just be using it as a play pen and for traveling so simple is good.
  • We got this one for an aweome deal at Burlington Coat Factory.  It's the Graco Broadstreet Collection.

  • I think most of the plasticy baby stuff is pretty ugly, actually!!  I'm fighting hard to resist the urge to fill my house with plastic crap.

We're getting the original arms reach co-sleeper instead of a regular pack and play.  It converts to a full size pack and play, but it also can be used as a bassinet up to 30 pounds.  They don't have patterns and stuff, just solid colors.  We got the natural.

  • I have the Chicco and honestly when my DS was born we had friends that actually returned their Gracos for the Chicco and/or bought a Chicco and never used the Graco again...It is great and we have taken it EVERYWHERE with us including Hawaii and New Mexico and it still is in 1 peice and actually my 2 year old still sleeps in it when we go to Grandma's house =)
