Keegan -- Boy's Name? Help!

DH and I finally aggreed on a boy's name (not too mainstream, but not too out there either), but when I tell people they say it sounds like a girls name. All the books says it's a boy's name.

Do you think Keegan is too feminine (or feminine at all)? Any help/opinion is welcome and appreciated!

I think of it as a last name now used as a first name, many of which can go either way. It does sound like it would work for a girl, but I think it'd be OK for a boy, too.

I dated a Keegan in high school and have a friend whose little brother has the same name.. to me, its definitely a boy name. I've never met or known of a girl named Keegan.?

My nephew's name is Keegan. I've always heard it as a boys name.

I have a co-worker who's son's name is Keegan. I think it could go either way, but I've definitely heard it more as a boy's name.

Sounds like a nice boys name. People input is why DH and I have decided to not discuss baby names with other people.

My nephews name is Keagan, we call him keeg usually. While i have heard it as a girl name I much prefer it as a boy name, I don't think its feminine at all.
