Baby did not cooperate!

We got to see it yawn and wave, but still have no idea what it is.  The tech said 90% girl, but when questioned further, she said thats because she didn't see a penis.  She didn't see girl parts either.  The baby was just chilling in the breech position and had no interest in moving for us.  So we don't know what we are going to do.  Don't want to wait another twenty weeks and their is no ultrasound place around here.  We might have to drive to Nashville to find out.  At least it is healthy!

I'm sorry you didn't get to find out!! I would be sad about that, too.

oh no! I have mine in a couple of days, and am worried about this exact thing (I just made a post about it)!

Good to hear that the baby is healthy though, that is obviously our number one concern too!

Oh no, what a bummer! Will they do another one for you? I know my friend had this happen to her and so the tech told her to stop in during her next appt and she would quick take a look for her. Maybe they could do this for you too.

The tech just kind of said, oh well.  The doc said she could probably find a reason to do another one at about the 28 week appointment.  DH and I really don't want to wait that long.  It is frustrating because I feel like I have already waited a long time.  We will either have to go with that, or try to find a place that does gender reveal ultrasounds.

Same thing happened to us at our 18 week (which was our last ultrasound we would get)... The baby had her legs tucked under her bum, and wouldn't show us "the goods"! I had been really set on finding out, so I the next day I drove 2 hours and paid $50 for a gender determination ultrasound at one of those 3D private clinics. After lots of poking and prodding, jumping up and down, and eating an entire bag of jelly beans, the baby finally moved and gave us the money shot. We were so excited and it was worth the money and the drive to find out!

Congrats on seeing a healthy baby.

I am afraid of the baby not cooperating as well. I wanted to get the u/s earlier but the Dr said as close to 20 weeks. So I will be 1 day less than 20 weeks. I hope this baby cooperates.

Made an appt tomorrow for a private ultrasound office.  I have to drive two hours there and back, but I have the day off anyways.  The tech said they will make it work, that she can get the most difficult babies to show off the goods.  So hopefully it will be cooperative this time.

Good Luck!  We had ours today and he was not shy with showing hte goods, but i think boys are easier to tell!  I drank some OJ before hand to get him moving...
