1. What kind of formula do you use? (My LO is dairy sensitive)
2. Do you use a special kind of water to mix with it?
3. Did your LO quit BM cold turkey, or did you phase in the formula?
My LO has been miserable her entire 2 months of life & medicine is not helping. As much as I don't want to, I think it's time to switch to formula. I'm trying to get through to the pedi to ask these q's, but no luck yet.
TIA
Re: If you switched from BM to formula...
1. We use SImilac Sensative - it is milk based but lactose free
2. We use nursery water (find at target or the grocery store). It is purified water.
3. We had been doing half breastmilk/hal formula bottles for about a week since I didn't have enough breastmilk before we went to straight formula
1. I use similac advance but you could use soy and see how your LO does.
2. At first I used nursery water but now I just use regular tap water.
3. I didn't mix the two together but I do now when she is getting sick (I have a freezer stash....although it is growing smaller and smaller...)
1. Parents' Choice Gentlease
2. I use filtered water--we have a filter on our tap. Otherwise I'd buy a gallon of filtered water to use.
3. I mixed a small container of formula to keep on hand (I keep about 6-8 oz mixed up) and I pour two oz of BM and 2 oz of formula...then gradually cut the amount of BM
