What odd foods have you tried in the mesh feeder?

I just gave DD a pickle in hers and she really liked it. She liked lemons & limes, too. I don't do it very often because I worry about it being to acidic, but on occasion, I try things just to give her a slightly different taste beyond grapes, apples, carrots, & broccoli. What odd things do you put in the mesh feeder??

    LOL! I can see why.

I'm hoping to get some unique ideas. I was thinking maybe turkey bacon once since she stole a piece of my plate once and tried to take a huge bite out of it, but I'm not really sure how well that would work in the feeder.?

  • I haven't tried, but you could do pineapple.

  • lol @ bacon.

    that is a riot.

i wish she would use the mesh feeder- because i too would be putting 'interesting' things in there. sadly we use it as a 'distraction tool' to get her to eat her purees.

  • We put spaghetti and meat sauce, macaroni and cheese, veggies out of my soup, french fries (only once.. lol), and ice.  I guess those are too weird, but they're not normal baby fare.
  • I forgot to mention that DD absolutely loves her mesh feeder.  It keeps her busy at restaurants.
  • The only thing we've done in it is frozen peach slice - she loves it and I think it helps her teething.
