DD is sick with a fever of 102.7 and diarrea. I've never given her pedialite before and the bottle doesn't tell how many ounces to give. Does anyone know how many ounces to give a 10 month old? She weighs about 20lbs.
TIA

i buy the individual bottles (they're 8oz) because he only likes apple and i can't find apple in the big bottles
Ditto this. When ds was 2 months old the doctor told us 2-3 oz at a time. He was sick with a stomach virus last week, and we didn't limit him once he could keep things down. When he was vomiting, I only gave a 2-3 tsp at a time every 5 or 10 minutes. I was worried about him becoming dehydrated bc the sickness was severe.
Ditto! As much as they will take is what ped told us as well. Its not quite a 'medication' in terms of the risk of od'ing. Agree with pp about vomiting, if keeping things down is a problem, offer in small quantities.
Re: How much pedialite?
ds' pedi said to give as much as he'd drink
