1st Trimester
So excited -- I just bought our bedding!
So I know it's a bit early, but after the NT Scan yesterday I just couldn't resist. This bedding (Charlie by Serena&Lily) has been on sale for weeks, and I was so afraid it was going to disappear before I could buy it. So I got the 3 piece crib set, and extra crib sheet and the changing table cover.
Since they're fairly certain it's a boy, I thought PERFECT and if Baby H decides to be a girl then I've decided I love it all the same. The furniture will be a dark cinnamon and just gorgeous. And I've already thought about the wall decor...we're doing an untraditional "serengeti safari" theme (untraditional because of the colors) rather than going in the circus direction that I've seen people take with this bedding. I'm SO EXCITED!!! I just had to share with someone. People IRL may think I'm crazy for jumping the gun so early -- ha ha!
I can't wait to start painting (well, not me, but you know what I mean!) and buy the wall decals! Yay!!

Different than the usual jungle themes you see.
So I was thinking about NOT doing the NT scan because I'm low risk, but once I read your and someone else's story yesterday about finding out the sex I can't tell my OB fast enough that I changed my mind. I'm hoping we'll have the same luck

Thanks, girls. I agree on taking care of things on the early side -- I'm a planner and uber organized. I have so many lists, reviews, etc done at this point related to baby, classes we need to take, things we need to buy, etc. that I even think it's a bit obnoxious! ha ha! But there is so much to consider! Thankfully, DH is totally on board with the crazy lady.
I really like your bedding! And who cares if you're buying early, I'm positive I will be buying stuff early, too. I like to be prepared!

Thats really cute bedding, perfect for either sex. However, you are going to be SO BORED by the end of your pregnancy. I worked up until and after my due date, moved 2 weeks before the birth, and was still just bored to tears at the end because everything was done and over with,only needed a baby to fill it up. Slow down! 40 weeks is a LONG TIME (I am uber organized too, just giving you the advice I would give myself for next time).
Also, please take no stock in whatever they told you the sex might be, no matter how sure they said they were. Most techs with any scruples won't even hazard a guess as to not get your hopes up in either direction. The sex organs are barely formed yet and they look quite similar. Lots of girls I was on the tri boards with found out the sex at 16 weeks and found out in a subsequent (after 20 weeks) u/s that the first one was wrong.
