I feel that the world needs more parents who decide to spend their time on their children, truly teaching them about all they know, not sending them to daycare for afew hours of play with people who mean nothing in their lives.
In her case, it won't take long to teach the child everything she knows.
woo hoo, she likes me! Now I'm still talking in my soothing voice in the hopes that she'll take back that *** shiitty thing she said about packing kids off to daycare.

Yeah, we're nerds, but actually it has nothing to do with X-Men. However, we've completely agreed that if we have quads at some point they'll be named after the ninja turtles. Even with girls, we'll just change the ending...
wow! What a funny discussion! And by funny, I'm not sure if I mean peculiar or hilarious- maybe a bit of both. Can't say I'd go for Rogue...but now that I've read that article from Freakanomics, I'm thinking about DS's on a resume! More for new moms to worry about...sigh. Unfortunately, it wasn't til after the fact that we found that Remy was the name of a Rat in a Disney cartoon...can't win 'em all I guess!

We know a couple that named their son Maverick Ace and she actually apologized for it before he was born. "We may end up regretting it but we like it right now." Although my DH thought it was kinda cool, he said he wouldn't have the guts to name a son Maverick. Especially if he felt like he had to apologize for it.
We kept our name choice for DD a secret but because we thought we might change it when we met her, not because we didn't want negative input.

I like how she's going to be a SAHM with a Master's Degree in Mathematics. I guess her husband's ARMY salary is going to pay for everything, including her student loans. Must be nice.?
Re: A fun post from 1st tri (about names).
A 19 year old future SAHM.
Jesus.
?
oh she's 19. ugh.
Now I would not do X-men names, that's for sure.
...I still stand by Oliver, and love Clark too. Superheroes or not.
lolz, I tried a different tactic with her.
Anniya, respectfully because your kid is great-looking, but wth with your mile-long signature?
Dude... she even went there with SAH/working mom.
Yikes.

So I've been thinking if we have a girl I'm probably going to name it Rogue.
I love how she called the baby it! She should have said, "I'm probably going to name her Rogue." LOL
Your words of wisdom worked. She apologized.
