I called my mom to ask about her gingerale ham for you.
Poor gingerale into pan so there?s about an inch? in the bottom, just so there?s juice in the bottom and it wont go dry. Put the ham in there fat side up. Cook as normal. Mom said if you cook your ham in gingerale, you will never have a salty ham again. Oh, and you don't need to baste it or anything, just let it cook on its own. Good luck if you try it! I haven't decided what I'm doing yet, but I have gingerale (and I forgot to get brown sugar) so I may have decided simply because of options!
