At my MFM appointment on Monday my cervix measured 3.2 cm which they said was fine. However I've done some reading and it seems to be on the low side of "fine". At my next appointment on Thursday I was thinking of asking about having an elective cerclage to prevent shortening. Did anyone have this done? Do you think I need to consider it at this point?
Re: Anyone have an elective cerclage?
I think the jury is out on preventive cerclage (try googling prophylactic cerclage), not sure that any of the research shows that it really helps. I'd def talk to your dr about pros & cons.
