8 month old breakfasts

What do you give your 8 month old's for breakfast?

Elyse used to get oatmeal with yogurt and fruit, but latley she won't eat too much of that...   She wants the cheerio's and pancakes...  more 'big girl' foods.

Re: 8 month old breakfasts

  • Wow I feel like I am so behind with Jonathan. All he eats for breakfast is either a Stage 2 fruit, yogurt, and every now and then oatmeal. We have not started giving him "big boy" food. This whole eating thing confuses the heck out of me. Sad

  • Good question.  Oatmeal and fruit are our standbys, but he's getting bored.

Yesterday, he had green beans for breakfast.  He loved it.

I'm curious as to other responses.

  • Oatmeal, fruit (normally apple sauce) and puffs. I am going to try to introduce some finger foods in the near future.

  • We have been doing fruit and yogurt. DD is ready for more, but I'm only home for breakfast on the weekends. I think tomorrow we will try pancakes.
  • A good idea for waffles and pancakes is to buy the mini frozen ones so that you don't have to make/waste a ton.
  • DD likes the mini frozen waffles, but typically uses them as a snack.  I sometimes give them to her frozen when she's really teething.  Usually, she eats baby oatmeal with a stage 2 fruit or a smashed banana.
