Holy Separation Anxiety...

Ava is 2.9 y.o and I think this is the worst yet. I went to the grocery yesterday, and she had a meltdown with my gram and mom about missing me/needing me. She said, "Momma, you here. You came back. I miss you so much."  I am a SAHM so it's not as if I drop her off a lot. She has to come to the bathroom with me. Has to go everywhere with me. Won't be comforted by anyone else but me, etc etc...  I used to be able to leave her for 4 hours/2X week no problem with the babysitter, but now things are very different.   I am just going with it and giving her as much comfort as possible as I assume this is most likely normal...

You are having trouble with your husband, right?  So that is probably part of it.  Kids are SO perceptive.

I was fiercly attached to my mom until I was SIX..  Now I'm completely different (live in a different country with no issues).

  • Yes, we are.  I too believe that it most likely a major contributing factor  :(
