if you could get KU easily if you were 16 again?  i remember when i was younger, gosh maybe even 13-14, and the amount of EWCM that i had.  every time i peed this huge glob would come out...and i was young and uneducated, so it always freaked me out and i thought something was actually wrong.

so after that TMI, i really wonder if i had been able to get KU back then.  curiousity killed the cat, i guess.

I remember taking a pregnancy test because my high school boyfriend had put his business down there.  We didn't actually have sex, but I was scared to death I was pregnant at 15.

I don't ever recall having EWCM until I went off the pill at 32 (was on it for 12 years). But, my sister got KU at 19 so I used condoms and the pill with my boyfriend back then- I wasn't taking any chances. hmpfff.

Yes. Although I was also stupid and had lots of sex while on antibiotics (= less effective birth control pill), and was bad about taking the pill regularly, and I still never got pregnant...And that BF later accidentally KU 'd two other women. This story makes me, in way, thankful for my CM issues (as long as I eventually get PG).

I got KU pretty darn easily at 21.  Different guy though, and I didn't stay KU'd.

I have kind of wondered that too, though.   Not necessarily about getting KU at a young age - but in my later 20's and early 30's.   Like at what point did it become difficult?   Or was it just the combination of DH and I that was "difficult"?

I know I would have. The cervicitis didn't start until the past probably 2 years i would guess from all the normal paps. Its what wrecked havoc on my reproductive system.

EWCM always freaked me out too.  I don't remember it in HS, but do in college (I didn't get on the pill until DH and I got married)

I remember the first time I got EWCM and being freaked out. I still actually get tons of it, so it's not my problem. I've always "felt" fertile, normal cycles, no family history, and a "nice pelvis" according to my midwife. And that was seemingly confirmed when I DID initially get pg right off the bat.

Now, I have no idea what to think anymore.

Gah, even my mom would lecture me about using back up protection while taking antibiotics when DH and I first moved in together.

I was broken even back then. I missed out on frantic runs to the 24-hour drugstore for sticks - although I did get to wingman for friends on those trips.

yeah i've wondered that too. ewcm use to freak me out, i had no idea what the hell that stuff was (yup idiot). i remember being so worried about the possibility of getting ku....that was my chief motivator for abstinence. i've wanted to be a mom since i was 6 years old when my little brother was born. i tried to get him to call me "mommy". but i didn't want to get ku in high school or college b/c i knew my parents would freak and i didn't want to bring my child into drama. my father would've disowned me.

god who knew.

I actually don't know if it would have been easier since I seem to check out fine. Although I never did. But I was pretty diligent about taking my BCP's and using condoms (both!) - I was so nervous about getting pg

I always wonder that. DH and I were together in high school and I always wonder how easy it would've been to get KU then or earlier in our 20's.

I definitely remember the EWCM freakouts.

And, since I've been with DH since the summer after HS graduation, I've very often wondered about all the "what ifs".

Its sad that I never remember having EWCM even back then. I barely get any now even with 20 pills a day.

Well getting pregnant doesn't seem to be a huge issue - it's the staying pregnant.

And if it is related to the later ovulation . . . well, that is more recent.  I have always ovulated later, but I am certain the weight I've put on since college (at least 50 pounds) has had an impact.  I need to work harder.

I used to have so much EWCM too.  I remember being terrified all the time if I was pregnant.  I often wonder if I could have gotten pregnant in my teenage/college years.  We were always super careful, and I was always still very paranoid.
