Did you get any clothes? It seems like people usually get a ton of clothes at their shower because baby clothes are so cute and people love buying them. Neutral stuff is somewhat less cute though and I'm wondering if I'm going to have to make a clothing run post-shower so baby has something to wear until we can get out and get non neutral stuff after he/she is born.
Re: If you're team green and have already had your shower
i think being team green really paid off because i got almost no clothing! most of what i got was actually on the registry!!! i am doubly lucky cuz my sis gave me all her leftover baby boy and girl stuff so i'm stocked.
My shower isn't for 3 more weeks, but I've been doing a bit of registry stalking and I'm so excited about the amount of "practical" things that are disapearing off the registry.
We got about 8 outfits. 4 were picked out by our DD and were the wrong sizes and wrong season, but she did it with love. (My mom took her shopping and let her pick what ever she wanted.) Most of the clothing was blues, since she wants a baby brother.
We mostly got the things off our registry or gift cards. We are pretty much set on clothing for the first 6 weeks and a few neutrals for the coming months as well.
i was wondering about this myself. my shower isn't for 3 more weeks so i am anxiously waiting to see what happens. but from what my friends tell me, when i am feeling ready to get out of the house after the baby is born, that is the perfect time to do the clothes shopping so i shouldn't worry about having much more than onsies & sleepers on hand.
it's soo wierd how i haven't really bought any clothes yet, but i guess that comes with being on team green. i'm more excited just to meet this baby than i am to dress them up in cute little outfits right now.
I did get a bunch of onesies and a few outfits. I got more registry stuff than clothes. I think since this baby will be here in warm weather I'm gonna be fine.
