WOW... I think it's cute that the cat wanted to sleep in the baby bed...
All animals have accidents... I just think some people don't know how to take care of animals or understand that they can't be as perfect as that one chick in 1st tri w/ her eating habits...
I should not respond to those messages. My hormonal rage is way too strong today!! Let me say that ANIMALS ARE PEOPLE WITH FUR!!! What the heck is wrong with people?? And here's what scares me even more They are pregnant!! Are they gonna treat their kids like that?? Grrr...
Wow...just wow. I saw your post about giving up animal below but didn't realize it was provoked by this other post. Does she think having a baby is going to be easier?
P.S. I currently have my 20 pound dog sleeping between my legs, a 90 pound pit bull warming my feet, one cat across my belly, and the other over my shoulder on the top of the couch and even though they drive me nuts sometimes, the thought of just giving up on them makes me cry.
My dog gets to me sometimes and my cats get into things but I would not give them up. They can tell something is about to change in the house and they are just checking things out. Their life is about to change and they are just checking out what is new in the house. Just take a break and breath.
ugh! me too! Some people are so insensitive and selfish!!
I guess she expects the cat to just start using the toilet in the bathroom and to catch on to exactly what she tells it the first time. Its training.....definitely doesn't happen over night. She needs to learn some patients!
Wow. If I had those standards for my cat she would have been gone long ago. She is in the crib all.the.time. We are actually trying to train her to stop the habit now, I would never consider giving her up for that (or any) reason.
I just don't get it. I know cats aren't like dogs to train easily to sit, stay, etc. But they CAN BE TRAINED. You just need to have the patience and interest to do the research or the willingness to hire an animal behaviorist specializing in cat behavior. Sounds like the cat is acting out about something with the pooping incidents or could be an underlying health issue that needs to be checked out. And our cat slept on DD's stuff all the time. Guess what? Not a problem with the baby showed up. You wouldn't kick a kid out of the house the first time there was an accident in potty-training or if the kid kept doing something he/she shouldn't, so why wouldn't you give that same leniency to a different species who instinctively has different behaviorial norms?
If I felt the same way she did, my dog would have been gone a long time ago. DH and I have spent close to $1000 in court fees b/c my b*tch neighbor calls animal control if he ever gets out of our yard, he can jump the fence, and he's an escape artist, so it's not easy keeping him in sometimes. I have fought tooth and nail for him and would do it all over again in a heartbeat. What is she going to do when she has teenagers that do way worse sh*it than what a cat does?! What is she going to do when they get caught smoking pot or drinking?! Teenagers do way worse *** than pooping on the floor. Is she going to give them an eviction notice too?! If you can't handle the things pets do, how are you going to handle all the sh*t your kids do?!
