Baby Names

Sienna?

My love of sweet, old-fashioned Evelyn Chloe is being tempted by Sienna. But I'm wondering: is Sienna one of those "I wanted to sound sophisticated so instead I came up with a name that totally will sound stripper in 2020?"

Go ahead, I can take it. ;-)

It's pretty, but not something I'd consider just because I love so many other names more. Evelyn is way better than Sienna.?

OMG! I totally forgot all about that. (Crosses name off short list.)

    ?

It is my nieces name, and this is what I think of. Its nms?

  • I am glad you said the stripper thing first! LOL

Well, I fell in love with this name when I was pg with #1. I posted about it on the nest (before the bump days) and got lots of "sounds like a stripper name" comments. I was surprised but... that's what I got.

I would never have made the car association because I am that clueless about cars and just don't think of them much.

I personally still like it. But depending on the day and time you post, sometimes people say nice things but I've seen lots of negative comments about it too.

  • I like it :) I also don't associate it with the van (or car, whichever)
  • I wouldn't say that I think of a stripper name, but I definitely don't like it. Evelyn Chloe is beautiful. No competition.
  • i like it. i don't think it sounds like a stripper at all, but it definitely doesn't sound classic, so it just depends on what your style is.

This is what I thought too?

  • Sienna makes me think of the town in Italy - Siena. I've never been there but a few friends have and they said it was one of the most beautiful towns they'd ever visited. Still if was between Evelyn and Sienna I would choose Evelyn hands down. You could drop Chloe and make her name Evelyn Sienna.
  • I'm generally not a fan of location-sounding names, so Sienna doesn't do anything for me.  Go with Evelyn for sure!
  • Stick with Evelyn Chloe! I love it!?
