f/u to unable to finish 3-hour glucose

I posted this morning that I couldn't keep the drink down and was wondering if anyone else had this experience.

My doctor just called, and apparently they are going to repeat the test, but rather than drinking the drink, I have to eat 28 Jelly Bellys after the fasting draw but before the three hourly draws.

So if anyone else out there can't handle the drink, I have just learned that there is another option.

Now if they always did it this way, I could take a 3 hour glucose test daily!

I know there is a DC OB that has you eat 2 Milky Ways instead of drinking the juice.  Of course I did not pick this doc but wished I would have!

LOL...I don't know why....but I'm a little annoyed now that I could have eaten jelly beans instead of downing that nasty drink....and no one told me that.  LOL...oh well.

But you have limited time to finish the 28 Jelly Bellys and they only chose specific flavors.... you cannot eat whichever ones you like
