Peanut shell- sizing Q

So I'm looking at getting a Peanut Shell based on recs from friends but was wondering about the size.  According to their height/weight chart I would be a medium, but I am 5'10 with an extremely long torso and have been estimated to be having a big (9+ lbs), long baby.  Any advice/feedback on how these fit/run?  I'm thinking I should order a Large.

Re: Peanut shell- sizing Q

  • I got the Amy Coe one made by Peanut Shell (at BRU) and I went with the L/XL because of my longer torso.  I haven't taken it out of the box yet to see if the sizing is correct, but I'm sure it will be.

How did your ultrasound go yesterday?

  • I'm 5'7 and got a Medium. I just ordered it last week and haven't received it yet.

FYI they have these on babysteals.com every so often I got mine last week for $30 with shipping!

  • Hey girls- thanks for the advice!  I will have to keep checking on babysteals.com!

My u/s went well, everything looks great with me and baby...he's just on the large-side.  They estimate he weighs 7lbs 9oz so if I go 40 weeks I could be looking at having a 9.5 lb baby.  Big but not unheard of.  I didn't schedule or elect to have a c-section, I figure I'll never know if I can do it unless I try.  And u/s are only an estimate so we will see.  Thanks for asking though!

  • I'm 5'6" with a long torso, and the store that I registered at recommended a medium for me.
