The midwives carefully monitor everything and are trained to notice anything that might appear to be off.
If for some reason a complication arises that necessitates going to the hospital, we are fortunate enough to live right behind a great one.
Literally, I could throw a rock from my porch and hit the hospital. So, it's actually better than using the birth center since they are 15 minutes from the closest hospital.
But honestly, I'm really not worried about it.
