SIDS can be genetic

I read an article a couple of years ago that stated previous cases that were thought to be SIDS deaths were actually cases of shaken baby.  This was before police new to look for signs of abuse b/c SIDS was the easiest conclusion.

And I'm not saying that as parents we shouldn't take precautions and take SIDS seriously, but it's just an interesting observation.
