3rd Trimester

Yesterday's Oprah

I know some posted on it yesterday, but I didn't get to see it until last night on my TiVo....some of the moms made me a bit sad.

Yes, I know that motherhood is going to TOTALLY change my life.  But I guess I've just wanted to be a mom for so long that I've mentally prepared for some of those things....i.e. while I'd prefer to have a larger SUV so I could ride higher off the ground, I'm not going to mourn my former self/life if we get a minivan instead!

Re: Yesterday's Oprah

  • I'm sorry, but I just CAN'T drive a minivan. Would more space be ideal, absolutely. But if I can't afford to upgrade from my current SUV, then there I will stay until I can. Don't get me wrong, the Quest and the new Honda one are really nice. But I'm not sure if I could handle that mentally at 27.

  • I posted yesterday about it.  I really took everything the moms had to say with a grain of salt.  I'm sure they love being a mom as much as they complain about it....if you think about it....it's the same as being pregnant...I complain about being pregnant...but I am so glad and thankful I am and have not had much complications during it.  Hopefully it did strike a cord with disillusioned teenagers who think having a baby will be awesome.

  • Some of it was helpful- some of it was NOT. (Of course, I do not like Oprah in the slightest, so on the rare chance I sit down to watch her show I'm always in a skeptical and foul mood)

Stupid comment: "I never realized how disgusting it is to feel the underside of your boob on your chest/stomach"

::clears throat:: Excuse me, I take offense to that. I was a 38G pre pg and I felt my boob laying on me all the time. Suck it up!! It's not disgusting...

LMAO!! I LOVE IT!! I didn't see the show, but know exactly what you mean. I mean complain with the best of them as well, but have LOVED every minute of this pg. Sometimes I think complaining is the only way to deal with frustrations.
