recs for breast pumps?

Hi all,

I'm registering for my baby shower and remember how bad my breast pump was 8 years ago.  I'm sure they have come a long way, but I was hoping to find some recs.  thanks!

  • I have the Medela Pump Instyle Advance and loved it. I EP'd for 5 mos and it was great.

I have the same one. I don't have anything really to compare it to, but I like it.?

I have this one too, and it worked pretty well for us; unfortunately it was only used for about four weeks.  :(

  • I have the Lansinoh double electric. I love it.  However, I've only been using it for about 7 weeks (daily for the past 4 weeks).  So far, it's great.  and I found it for $111 (new) with free shipping, I think on Amazon, but that was back in Dec.
  • I haven't used it yet, but have the Medela Pump in Style based on friends raves that breastfed

  • I also have the Medela Pump In Style Advanced.  Love it!

  • I've got an Ameda Hollister Purely Yours double electric pump. It works well (I EP and DD will be 6 months Fri.) It's also less expensive than the PISA, and it's recomended by lactation consultants.
  • I have the Medela Swing which is awesome if you are like me and will only need to pump on occasion.  If I had to pump all the time...I would upgrade to the pump in style.

    thanks ladies!
  • I've been using the Medela PISA a little over 7 months so far & it's worked great.  I love that it's compact & discreet for work too.  It's the only one I've used though, so nothing to compare.
