I started having some pains in my lower ab (maybe ute) area on saturday, and they continued thru sunday. ?They feel like sharp pangs in the center every 15-20 minutes, and sometime they happen on the right side. ?Today, it's not really painful, but it's like a dull pressure. ?Anyone else go through this? ?I had a pretty stressful weekend (fighting with dad, etc), so I really hope it's nothing bad. ?I might call my doctor just to make sure, but I wanted to see if others have had this.
Re: Low abdominal pain
I just started getting them last night..I'm assuming that everything's just stretching, our uteruses are about to do some major growing coming up. they don't last and no bleeding or anything else.
I hope yours get better soon! :-)
I had this exact same pain and I asked my OB about it terrified it would be some sign of a problem, instead I found out it is -perfectly- normal at our stage of pregnancy (I am 11 weeks as well) and the cause is your ute. expanding to accomidate the baby. At first it can be these sharp pains but then it becomes a dull ache off and on for the rest of the pregnancy. Stress does make it feel worse.
Rubbing your belly can sometimes make it feel better (for a bonus make the daddy do it! It's nice to be pet lovingly sometimes).
Unless you have bleeding more than 1 pad an hour, lower back pain, or some other completely bogus symptom this sharp stabbing is completely normal! Be sure to drink a lot of water, if it gets worse when you go to the potty then it could be a UTI, in which case it is wise to speak to a doctor for some antibiotics.
I am having some back pain, but I think it's my upper tailbone area. ?And it happens when I sleep or sit for a long period, so I'm not too worried about it. ?
My abdominal pain is just weird feeling. ?Definitely not AF cramps.?
If you are on your back rather than on your side, this can happen, ALSO this happened to me last night so it might be a factor for you as well? Even though I am only showing a little bit of my bump I found that my normal panties/pants were so tight they were causing cramps. A really good way to test this out is go into a room solo and just strip down those garments and move around, stretch, lie on your side do whatever but give yourself 10 full minutes without any restriction. If the problem gets better it's time for some new clothes!
