I've been having dull period-like cramps off and on for three weeks now. I keep going to the bathroom expecting to see its return and I still haven't started. What the heck?
One of the hormones involved in breast feeding (oxytocin) is also responsible for uterine contractions--cramps. So, it may just be that the nursing is causing the cramps you feel.
On & off, mostly when he'd suddenly change eating habits - like if he STTN a few nights in a row and didn't nurse as much. Or when we went full tilt onto solids and he nursed less, etc.
I had cramps quite often the entire time I was nursing. I think that is normal because you have hormones that can cause your uterus to contract (aka cramp up). The worst was a few months after she was born. I don't know why. Maybe because her eating habits changed?
I am deal with this same thing. i actually POAS yesterday too, because I was convinced I was PG or starting AF, but no AF to speak of yet and the crapms have been going for days now.
Re: When BFing, did you have AF-like cramps with no AF?
