Vent: DH told everyone while I'm home sick

I've been in bed sick since Weds with a nasty virus. I even went to the ER early this morning b/c the pain in my ears and neck got so bad it woke me up. Due to this, I missed our niece's 1st bday today. DH called to see how I was doing and said 'well, everyone knows now. Someone guessed and it slipped out and spread like wildfire." I know I'm not thinking rationally right now between the hormones and being so sick, but I'm so angry! The u/s to see the hb isn't until Tues, and if I'm not feeling better I'll have to put that off b/c there's no way I'm risking getting others at the OB's office sick. I've been going through all of the nausea, headaches and hemerhoids along with this stupid virus, and he can't make it through a party without avoiding the issue. I am just so mad!

    That sucks. Tell him, "Hm. That's ok, honey- this way I get to pick any name I want without worrying whether not you'll like it. I'm sure after this you'll like ANY name I pick, RIGHT?"

    My DH told loads of people too. So did his mother. After I asked them to keep it to themselves until I got into 2nd tri. It must be genetic.

    Hugs. People can be obnoxious once they figure out the secret. I bet DH had a hard time controlling it or hiding his little smirk about it.

    Hugs. Feel better and cut your DH some slack... make him bring you home some cake!

    I don't blame you for being upset.  It is an exciting time and you probably wish you had been there to see how excited everyone was.  My mom did the SAME THING to me and I was crying all that night.  I had wanted to be there and she told my entire family. 

    I agree with you getting to choose the name now ;) And him having to bring you cake!
