I am 5w2d along and have been experiencing some mild stomach pains on the left side of my stomach. There isn't any spotting with this and don't feel it all the time. Should I be contacting my doctor? I am thinking/hoping that it is just from everything growing down there. Any thoughts? I am also thinking it might help to hydrate myself a little more and take some tylenol.
Thoughts?
Re: stomach pains
I am 7w1d with my first baby. I have camping very similar to menstral cramping. In fact, I was sure my period was just about to start 3 weeks ago before I found out I was expecting. I do not experience the cramps 24/7 but just sporadically. My doctor said it is totally normal, as long as the pain doesn't get worse or consistently stay on one side of my abdomen. Your body is just preparing to grow a baby. I am on my prenatal vitamins and try-so far with success to not take any other medications including tylenol. I just get nervous about the what-ifs. If your camping gets bad, I would try to lay down and focus on the positive... your bundle of joy is in there!!
Hope this helps?
I was told if its similar to cramping you've had from AF - then not to worry. Ive also had a lot of stomach pain that was pretty severe, but it was from my bowels (diarrhea & gas) - so try to differentiate the two. good luck.
I am almost nine weeks pg with my second child. i already have a 2 yr. old son, and with my son i had no cramping or anything and then with this one i cramped alot in the begining and still do now from time to time. i found that a warm bath helps alot. but just like it was said its perfectly normal, its probably just gas. i have thought i was going to die cause i had such pains in my stomach and it was just gas, i felt real dumb going to the dr thinking something was wrong and he had told me if was just gas lol! r u taking prenatal pills, and if you are , are u taking iron pills as well? cause the iron makes the constipation worse. i dont know if i was any help but if you have any questions i would be happy to try and help!
