How do you feel about -

having the baby so close to the holidays? I think it's going to be a little stressful, only because I saw my friend go through it last December. I remember her doing some mad online shopping, lol.

Needless to say I am getting more excited, but still in a lot of shock.

Re: How do you feel about -

  • I'm just excited about everything and hope to have a healthy pregnancy and baby.  I love online shopping and I'm sure that's the way I'll have to go this year!

Think of it this way - it's a good excuse if you don't get everything done! Big Smile

  • I never even thought about that - I guess I will be doing a lot of advanced shopping!

  • I think it is great!!! :o)

Plus you can get the holidays deals!!!

    Let's think positive! :o)

  • I do agree it's one more event to add to the already chaotic holidays, but I couldn't be more thrilled. I like the idea of going thru the most uncomfortable months (the end of the pregnancy) at the time of year I enjoy the best and happy I won't be 9 months in the middle of summer.

Well, I'm due in August, so the question doesn't really apply.. I know, I know I'm on the wrong board...BUT... I just had to tell you that your DD is ABSOLUTELY ADORABLE!
  • I'm psyched for the holiday deals and getting together with family. ?Okay, except maybe my IL's from CA. ?They indicated yesterday that they plan to be here for the baby's birth and for the holidays. ?I am PRAYING that they stay in CA and come out a few weeks afterwards.

  • I've decided to start shopping early. I've hit a few outlets and squirreled away some gifts for people that I can easily buy for.

Other than that, you're getting a gift card that DH will pick up at Wawa.

The only thing I'm uneasy about is telling MIL we won't be at Thanksgiving dinner if the baby is born anywhere remotely near the holiday. *Anticipating she will blow a gasket.

I don't like the idea of the baby being around so many people so early. Call me paranoid- but the sea monkey won't have their shots yet. I may severely limit who holds her even at Christmas/Hanukkah with extended family.

  • last year when I was pg, my due date was 12/26.  and being due this time 2 days after thanksgiving, I'm excited.  either way, its our miracle and it gives us a reason to have everyone around to help but also time to spend alone with just the 3 of us.
  • In terms of vacation time for DH, I think it's great! I am a little interested to see how Christmas shopping will pan out. Gift cards will probably be the hot thing.

  • I'm due in October, and LOVE that time of year. Baby will probably not be in a costume..just a cute halloween onesie. By the time Thanksgiving rolls around baby will be old enough to go to a families house for dinner and then for xmas we will have a 2 mth old, which is very exciting. Probably not much shopping. But I am a huge gift card giver anyways.

We just bought our first home and are very excited to decorate and have a family in the home for the holidays!

  • My DD was born on Christmas Day, and I have to say, it's a lot of fun!  Christmas was small scale at our house that year though.  Now we're expecting another December baby and couldn't be more excited!
