Adoption

Yep, It was her

There was a mix-up at the Peruvian agency, and the little girl was referred to a family that had previously met her.  They knew she was being transfered to the waiting list, and requested to parent her before any of her information was available to anyone else.

The Peruvian agency is very upset about the way things turned out, because they weren't able to compare all the interested families and assure the best match.  We were told that the people who made the mistake no loger work for the agency.

  • I just wanted to add that I am happy to know that the little girl's new family obviously has abounding love for her, to have followed her case so closely and jumped at the chance to bring her into their lives as one of their own.  It's just hard emotionally, when just yesterday, we were assured by our lawyer that although a couple other families had requested her file, no one had yet requested to parent her.  We actually thought we stood a chance....

  • I'm happy the little girl found a living family, but I'm very sorry you didn't get a real chance. (((hugs)))
  • I'm sorry. (((HUGS)))
  • Oh man, that stinks on so many levels.
  • I'm sorry this didn't work out for you Cap'n.  I suppose it's a blessing that you weren't kept waiting very long, but I'm sure it's still a disappointment.
