Nursing days are numbered

And that number might be zero. ? Evie just went to bed without nursing. ? ?And I totally planned it that way. ? I played on her floor with her. ?I had Nico read her good night books to her. ?I never sat in the rocking chair. ? I let her play in her room for an hour until she was ready to get into bed. ? And at the end, I read her a book, but a different book than we usually read at bedtime. ? ?Then she started rubbing her eyes. ? I put her in her crib, turned on her mobile and the FP Aquarium and she just leaned up to kiss me goodnight, like usual, then watched the aquarium as she fell asleep. ?

I came downstairs and cried. ?Which is totally stupid because I WANTED her to go to bed without nursing. ? I guess I didn't expect it to work.

I am pretty sure she's going to want to nurse at wake up. ? I might let her or I might actually drag my butt out of bed, downstairs and get milk and banana for her instead of nursing in bed. ? Maybe I will keep the heat up a little higher down here tonight. ?

Congrats on making it this long. That is awesome. I felt so free when I was done nursing Ridge. We made it to one and he was done with it.

When I stopped the bedtime feeding, I cried 3 nights in a row. I gradually dropped down to 2 feedings then only nursed in the AM...I think because I dropped a feeding a week - though it tooke me 2 weeks to go from 3 to 2, it was less painful on my boobs. Anyhoo, weaning is VERY emotional.....and it comes out of nowhere. Its nice it went well tonight for Evie, I missed her today.
