Need opinions about where babies will sleep

We don't have a nursery.  We are having the babies in our room, we live in a 1 bedroom townhouse.  So we have 1 crib up in our room, but I have a feeling that they are not going to be in the crib all the time at night...at least not both of them.  But we don't really have a backup plan.  I was considering buying a cradle, bassinet, or the arms reach cosleeper or mini cosleeper to also keep in our room.  I'm just not sure which thing to get.  I was thinking the cosleeper since it is bigger and we could even have both of them in there at night if that works out.  I guess I just wanted some opinions from people who have already been through this. Thanks for any advice you can offer!

Re: Need opinions about where babies will sleep

  • We didn't have a nursery for the first three months (we were in the process of moving so we were staying with my parents) but we had 1 crib and 1 cosleeper next to our bed in our room. They always started out sleeping in the crib but both wound up in the cosleeper after the first night feeding. We also used the cosleeper for naps because they wouldn't sleep in the pnp we bought.

The only issue I ran into was that it was just a bit crowded because our room wasn't that big. We did have to buy a second crib after we moved at 3 months because they were moving around too much and waking each other up.

  • Thanks for the input!  I was definitely thinking that they would end up not sleeping in the crib as much during the night after feedings.  I guess I'll order one online and see how it goes.  Thanks again!
