*4/2 - 30 Day Shred Check-in*

I did not get up this morning to do it, in fact I woke up 20 mins late! I will do oit tonight after T goes to bed. Also, need to take measurements!

    I am so proud of myself for getting up and getting it done!  The workout is perfect, I was able to get the workout done, shower, get myself and Keanan dressed and get to work on time.  I am crazy sore, and I feel smaller (although I know that is in my head LOL)

    I don't take measurements until monday ( we do it weekly at work) so we will see if there are some improvements. 

    I feel really good!

  • Great job for getting up early. ?I will have to get my butt in gear (starting on Monday). ?We are in San Antonio until Sunday night and my DVD is at home. ?I thought about bringing it, but then realized I wouldn't even touch it. ?Now I wish I would have. ?
  • I'm not on the Shred but am going to check in anyways.  I got up at 5 for day 4 of my program and it was yoga.  I was totally thinking YAY!  soft music and reflection/stretching time! 

    Um no.  THat sh*t was crazy hard.  It was comical trying to balance and stretch.  I fell alot and there were some exercises I couldn't even attempt.  It was nuts.  I did an hour and will have to finish the other 30 minutes tonight.

  • I have no excuses to not start now - DH found my weights last night (after I said I couldn't find them and went to bed) and made sure I knew he did.  sigh.  ;)  He also found my body bars (12# and 15#), and brought those in too. 

    I'm starting the CP25K program tomorrow morning, and will start shredding on Saturday.  I'm going to do alternate days - one running, one shredding - because I know I need the extra cardio and I do want to start running more.  Really not sure about the marathon in November though - raising $3k is a bit daunting, hee.  :)  We'll see!

  • Lizzy - 1.5 hours of yoga?! That's impressive! Creamy - I want to do C25K too but I'm afraid it will be too much since I am just starting back. I may wait a week or two until I start getting SOME stamina back!

  • I could only do one hour this morning and it was the.longest.hour.ever.  The workouts are about an hour each day. 

    If I stick with this program I better loose a gazillion pounds of body fat.  Jeez.

  • You guys are doing awesome! I never thought about doing it in the morning, but I think I might start that. That would be way easier because after getting Sophia to bed I am so tired and all I want to do is veg out.

  • I want to do that C25K as well, but then I will have to run in the evenings... I think I may do the shred on the days DH works and do the runs on the days he is off.. that is the only way I could make it work. 

     

  • I went by Best Buy to get the DVD this AM, but they weren't open yet. C's napping now, I'll go pick it up when she wakes up and start today during her afternoon nap. ::crosses fingers there is an afternoon nap::
  • I had to start working out in the morning because at night my routine is pretty solid and there really isn't an hour or 30 minutes for anything besides getting dinner, feeding/bedtime routine with the kiddo and maybe some quiet time with hubbs. 

    I am NOT a morning person.  I never have been.  I cannot believe I have gotten up two mornings in a row.  I'm thinking about calling my mom and telling her- she would fall out of her chair in disbelief.

    As impatient as I am, I just ordered it on Amazon and it will arrive tomorrow. I spent more on shipping than the actual cost of the DVD but I don't care. When I decide to do something I must do it now! So I'll be starting tomorrow. :)

    Same here I am sooo not a morning person, in fact when I told DH he bout had a heart attack LOL.  But that is the only time I really can workout.  I tried yesterday when I got the DVD, Keanan was not having it so I could not finish. 

    I just gotta keep telling myself I can do this... or keep looking at the picture I took in my sport bra and shorts.. that should do it LOL.

  • I am so out of shape it is sad. DH picked it up for me and watched DD so I could do it. I can barely do a girly pushup. At this rate I will be lucky to get to level 2 by the end of the 30 days, but I will do it!
  • Day 2 / Level 1

    I did it, again. I was a little bit sore today, but not too bad. ?I expect to be really sore tomorrow. ?It was a teeny weenie bit easier today. ?Those damn pushups, jumping jacks and jump ropes kill me.

    Again, it went by FAST. ?That part I love. ?Still sweaty, worn out and out of shape, but I feel great!

    Took some "before" pics - yuck! ?Need to do measurements tonight.

    My goal for tomorrow - get up at 5am and get it over with!

    Oh - and I do girly pushups too. ?I could never do the others even when in shape :P?
