Realisticdreams

Lets talk doxie's when you get on!

Re: Realisticdreams

  • You mean the evil little creatures who woke me up when I could be sleeping in because I'm off today ?

lol, ok.  I love them, I don't think I will ever be happy without one.  Even if they are stubborn and try my patience.

  • Hahaha! Riley will get better- the smoothed hair ones are the craziest type of weiner dog. I have a red smooth haired one and she is nuts! It took me FOREVER to train her and she still isn't fully trained... They are super difficult to train because they are brats and if they don't feel like peeing outside because it's too cold they'll just pee inside instead haha

  • Riley is a long hair, it's hard to tell in that pic, he was young when it was taken.  It takes them 2-3 years to grow their full coats.  His hair is pretty long now especially his tail & ears.  Which is one reason why I don't get why he's so psycho!  Annie never was, she wouldn't even play with toys.  She's so stuck up lol.

I've been on a dachshund board for around 4 years, I'm not sure if you've ever heard of it.

It's call the Dachshie's Bulletin Board.

    How old is yours?

I am happy to know that I am not the only one that has this problem. I have to literally push my two bratty dachshunds out the door every morning to pee. Daisey Mae, I caught peeing in the baby's room yesterday. We have set some of our baby things (swing, bouncer, etc) in the room already just so they can get used it. I got down to clean it up and noticed a bad pee smell. She is marking her territory. Nelli Belle is doing great! She is older and ignores everything and sleeps alot.

  • OMG thank you for introducing me- I may have to lurk on it for awhile and possible chime in a few times :)

Chewy is 2 years old. I really want another one- they are so cute and small as puppies!

  • oh yeah dachshund puppies steal your heart.  Until they keep you awake at night screaming and you have to housebreak them.

Annie and Daxie are very housebroken.  They only have accidents if they are sick.  Of course they are all sick right now, Annie is at the vet (i just took her) No idea whats wrong.

Riley however, is such a little ***.  His favorite place to pee where he isn't supposed to is the bed!

They slept with us until he came along.
