Is your child a complete mess.  my dd keeps herself entertained for the most part, but she messes up everything in the process and is not very good at picking up her mess.  He room is always distroyed and toys scattered out into the hallway.  Is your dc a mess?  How do you get them to pick up their toys?

Yes DS is a complete mess. He used to be better, he used to worry about losing stuff (maybe because we did lose stuff in the move) and he'd gather things up at the end of a game. Now he would leave everything out all the time if I let him. The only way I can combat it is to make a game of picking things up. If I'm racing him to get everything away he'll help. GL!

He is getting worse...lol. We make a game (racing to pick everything up, who can pick up the most and the fastest, we also count everything as it goes in the toy box - he loves this).

Yes!  DS will usually only clean up his stuff if I help too.  I think its probably too overwhelming to him to do it all by himself.  I do some of the same stuff that butterbeans mentioned.
