So... the clients know today. PIP of bloat.

Today's dialogue with a client:

Y: Are you married?

Me: Yes I am

Y" How long?

Me: 3 1/2 years now

Y: Well congratulations!

C (another client): Well that's old news- Congratulations on what?

K: Can't you see- she's going to have a baby!

I was flabbergasted.

    wow...kinda had some nerve, what if you weren't pregnant!

     

    DD1(4):VSD & PFO (Closed!), Prenatal stroke, Mild CP, Delayed pyloric opening/reflux, Brachycephaly & Plagiocephaly, Sacral lipoma, Tethered spinal cord, Compound heterozygous MTHFR, Neurogenic bladder, Urinary retention & dyssynergia, incomplete emptying, enlarged Bladder with Poor Muscle Tone, EDS-Type 3. Mito-Disorder has been mentioned

    DD2(2.5): Late term premie due to PTL, low fluid & IUGR, Reflux, delayed visual maturation, compound heteroygous MTHFR, PFAPA, Bilateral kidney reflux, Transient hypogammaglobulinemia, EDS-Type 3

    All I'm thinking is... it's a good thing I just didn't decide to go off a diet and gain a few pounds. I'd be developing a complex right about now.

    Wow.  I can't stop thinking...what if she weren't pregnant!  I would have been crushed!  It only takes one time of a person putting their foot in their mouth for them to learn not to comment on pregnancy until it's realllllly obvious.  Or somebody else mentions it first.  People are still hesitant to say anything to me at almost 17 weeks, mine still looks a little like a pudgey belly.  :)  Congrats on your first pregnancy comment though!

    Am I the only one thinking, "What if you weren't married?"

     

    Was the client gonna wag his/her finger in shame?  Pray for you?  Quote you statistics on the efects of single-parent households?
