I know, I feel dumb for being so upset and feeling so scared, because the changes are slim
Just the fact that there's a chance really freaks me out...the reasearch I did after finding out didn't help either
I totally understand why you are freaking out. But since I am on the outside looking in I can think logically about the situation. Does your BF have to go in to get a bloodtest?
Yep and of course the lady calls me a 1/2 hour before the Dr. office closes so I can't make an appt. for tomorrow. Sucks.. I hope I don't have to wait another couple of weeks to get the results back. I called the week I got my U/S done and they said that the test results were back and everything was great... why didn't they mention some of the test results weren't back?!
Reading in this forum, there are so many things that Ive never heard of before! I had to look up Gauchers to figure out what it meant. Good luck, stay strong.
Just wanted to send you some reassurance that its rare that your bf will also carry the mutation causing the disease. I work in genetic research, so I am familiar with the testing procedures.?Try to relax, its not good for you to be stressed out either. Try to think positive too, its unlikely he's a carrier as well, and if he is, there's only a 25% chance the baby will have the disease, inheriting both mutations. I'm sure the genetic counsellor told you that, or will tell you that if needed.?I'll be thinking of you.?

Don't feel dumb. It's totally understandable to be upset.
