we heard the heartbeat this morning!!!

I had my first appointment this morning and everything is looking perfect! I am measuring at exactly 9 1/2 weeks, so I'm right on schedule! I had to have the whole breast and pelvic exam....it was funny watching DH's face when she was doing all that. I think he felt sorry for me...haha! Then she got out the heart monitor. She warned me that we may not be able to hear it, but sure enough, there it was!!! I just started laughing b/c I was so excited. And the look on DH's face was so full of excitement! I think she said the heartbeat was about 120 BPM, which I guess is normal b/c she didn't seem concerned at all. I have to go back next week for all the blood work b/c I ate breakfast and they do the blood gluclose test and by me eating breakfast would have messed up the results. So another week to look forward to the toture that is blood work....I hate needles, but I guess I better get used to them! I won't get an ultrasound until the 18-20 week, but I'm okay with that since by then it won't look like a blob. I guess I could ask for one just for fun, but my insurance probably won't cover it since it wasn't doctor ordered.

So, that's my appointment in a nutshell! Hopefully everything will continue to go well! H&H 9 months to everyone else!
