Primrose School vs. Goddard School?

Hello Ladies!

I am looking into sending my child to either Primrose or Goddard School and have heard good things about both but don't know what the main differences are between them.

Does anyone have any thoughts about them or why to choose one over the other?

Thanks so much!

Re: Primrose School vs. Goddard School?

  • I don't have much insight at to Primrose, but we take DS to the Goddard School. I have a friend that works at Primrose, but the location was not as convenient for us so we decided not to go there.

I know my state is probably different, but I really like how things are run at the Goddard School. The ratio is great 1:4 which for GA the state required is 1:6. Usually they don't have more than 12 babies in the infant room, but they still have 4 teachers in there. I think this is because they have some part time babies so most of the time there is only 12.  It is more expensive, but the overall experience and appearance of the school is better than the Primrose (here). Our son has done great there and seems to be a very happy content baby during the day.

Good luck with your decision as I know it is a tough one. It took us forever to decide but we are very happy with our decision. Smile

Actually, like pps, most parents I know have had fewer complaints with Goddard versus Primrose.  I do know that the Goddard schools here do not provide lunch (only snacks) so you might want to check to see if you do that.  I didn't care for the sterile feel of Primrose.

  • My DD goes to a Primrose School and we love it. I honestly think Primrose and Goddard are very similar. I wanted a daycare with teachers who have degrees, and both of these centers have that as a requirement for the lead teacher. Both are expensive, though Primrose is more expensive, at least here I'm at. I think you will likely have good experiences with either choice. Good luck!
