Gripe Water vs Mylicon

What is the difference? Are they basically used for the same thing- upset tummies due to gas? Which do you prefer?

Re: Gripe Water vs Mylicon

  • Mylicon is simethicone drops (same ingredient as Gas-X)

Gripe water is all natural. We use Baby's Bliss gripe water & it's mostly ginger and fennel. It helps with gas, upset tummies & hiccups.

Mylicon didn't work for us, but the Gripe Water has been the equivalent of miracle water. DS is VERY gassy -- but since we started the Gripe Water we've had much less crying due to gas.

Do you give LO the gripe water out of the dropper or put it in a bottle?

I just give it in a dropper. It smells kind of like licorice & he loves the taste!

Just wondering bc the syringe that came with the bottle seems to shoot too fast and he spits it everywhere. I am going to try  regular dropper.
