monogramming hard to learn?

So I am in love with all of the monogrammed onesies, etc. that I've been seeing, and I'm thinking I might like to learn how to make them myself. I am wondering if anyone out there does anything like this and can tell me honestly if it is hard to learn to do. I am very crafty, though I haven't done much sewing other than curtains and pillows. I don't know the first thing about embroidery. Can anyone give me any info?

It is SUPER easy...as long as you have a nice (read expensive) monogramming machine :-)
