Going back to work tomorrow, pumpers come in!

What all do you bring to work with you?  I'm packing my bag and am having massive brain farts.  I've got a storage tote in the freezer, my collection bottles and BM storage bags as well as drop ins/adapters (not sure which is the best way to store yet so bringing all LOL).  I think I will also bring a blanket since I'm pumping in a back office with no door Tongue Tied only accessible by my staff of 4 though.  I have my pump and horns out still cause will use tonight but I have a note in my bag to grab them Yes

What am I missing?   TIA?

  • a dish towel or the like to put on your lap so you don't get milk drops on your pants. an extra shirt, just in case. a book to read or music to listen to while pumping. do you have a hands-free thingie?

  • Recommendation- instead of a blanket, get a nursing cover.  I bought one for BFing, but realized it ws great to pump under if I needed to pump while out (like at a friends house and I didn't want to go sit in a back room alone!).

Ah yes I do thanks for reminding me :)  Extra clothes/dishtowel also good idea, especially for me I'm clumsy!

  • i brought a tupperware-type bowl and a small container of dishsoap, so i can wash the pieces and leave them here at work.
  • Yeah, I was also going to say bring things to be prepared for drips and leaks that can happen while pumping.

I have a medela pump that came with four bottles that hold approx. 6 oz each as well as a little cooler pack to tote them in.  This is what I use to transport all the milk I've pumped at work.  At home, I transfer the milk into dropins for the next day and thoroughly wash all my pump stuff.

Good luck!  I think I pump more often than most at work (4x/day), but doing so allows me to consistently get about 18 oz or so, which is more than enough for the following day.

So you don't pump at home?  That's a good idea though if I had two sets...
