Re: feeding on demand causing 'overeating' in a bf baby. so you know, putting a 6 week old baby on a feeding schedule is always better.

Yes you can. I didn't think so either, and every baby is different. My DD often wanted to nurse for comfort, and was overreating. Now when she cries, & has just eaten, I rock her to sleep with a paci & she is happy. She's still eating every 2.5 - 4 hours.
I know because she is my baby.
well she told me! and if they DO overeat at one sitting, they spit up. big freaking deal! this wouldnt cause me to put grant on a schedule. if he is hungry, he is hungry. plain and simple *wiping hands*
i shudder to think what she will do when her baby is in a growth spurt. "it's not time for food, you will get a tummy ache!"
Re: what a jackass-- C & P
If shes satisfied with a paci she isn't hungry anymore.
So...what exactly is this lady doing wrong?
as always i should c & p EVERYTHING.
in the orignal post she said her daughter had been extremely fussy for the first six weeks, but now this magically helps? You think she hadn't tried the pacifier prior? Obviously the kid was hungry / with reflux. i don't think putting them on a feeding schedule is a sudden 'cure' for fussiness.
I didn't read the original post, though, so is there something I'm missing?
