Hey there.. I've been meaning to ask you a question since you are from LA....

Dh and I are considering moving to LA to be closer to  his family...  I'm from NYC and I have never been down there....

WE would be moving close to Alexandria.. and I just wanted to find out from you how do you like it??  How's life down there?? 

I'm trying to get some info from anyone who can tell me anything!!

well north la is a little different from south la, but as a whole i really love living here. i've never been up north (as in the entire us lol) so i'm not sure how different the south is, but the southern hospitality is awesome. and things are just more laid back. it's a little slower and not as fast paced which is nice.

DH and I are originally from a small town south of Alexandria, about an hour drive.  I'm with cajun, it's very laidback and everyone is very friendly.  The food is pretty awesome too.  We really like living in Fort Worth though.  It's only temporary since DH is in the military.  I think we will end up back home or here when he retires in 7 years.  Our hometown is very simple and just recently started selling alcohol.

actually Manda I've never been to Alexandria....   I'm just curious about schools... neighborhoods, job opportunities.....  anything i guess!!! lol

very low crime rate, very good schools.  I live 10 minutes from there and have lived here all my life minus a 3 year stint in new orleans for law school.
