Read "we were gonna have a baby but got an angel instead"

The hospital gave me two books for my kids..  I read them both to her last night.  She is 4 yo and has known about the baby and was so excited to be a big sister..  She has known that something is not right but  didnt quite understand why mommy was "sick".

So I read the story to her and it really worked well.  It made me cry but she said "I was sad too because I really wanted the baby to come live with us, but I know she is in heaven".  Then she asked me if that is why I was sad...

Its hard to believe that a 4yo can grasp that..  I was bawling and she hugged me and said she loved me..  It kinda made me feel better.  And now maybe she is more prepared for the memorial service Sunday..

I highly recommend this book for those with other children.  It really opened doors for my 4 yo to express her feelings.
