Went back to work today :(

The hardest part was leaving her this morning.  I cried for half the drive into work...thank goodness DH was driving.  Work wasn't bad at all.  Like people said, it was so busy that the time flew by.  I did bring a web cam to work , and used Skype to see DD a couple times.  That was the best.  I also made a scrapbook on scrapblog and showed it to my classes all day long.  So, pretty much, I saw DD all day at work.

The only sad part was that she was up all day at my moms (the longest nap she took was 30 minutes), and fell asleep the second I picked her up.  When  I got home I fed her, and she's been asleep since 6:30.  I am sad at missing interacting with her today.  Hopefully, she'll nap tomorrow, and be a little more playful when I get home.

I've read about a lot of posters returning to work, and I just wanted to let you all know my experience today.  I figure if I can get by with crying less tomorrow, it will be a success.  Working moms really do rock!

  • Awwww.. I'm so glad you got to peek in on her a few times. I'm going back to work in two weeks and I'm SO SAD about it. I'm glad to hear time flies by. I'm hoping it's the same for me!!!

  • I go back to work tomorrow night.  I am so scared.  It has been so nice not having to deal with the drama at work.  My DH will have DD all night so I know she will be in good hands.  I am just worried because nobody takes care of her like mom.  I keep giving my DH advice even thougth I know he will do a great job.  I just know he won't wake up every hour and check that she is ok like I do.  He also get a little impatient when she won't stop crying so I hope he doesn't get to frustrated with her.  I am sure I will be calling to check on them all night.
