Well I am wondering what the tips are for preventing stretchmarks! I am prone to having them because I already have them on my thighs so I am wanting to get above the bump and start the daily moisturizing but dont know what to buy! Any tips??
They are genetic. If you're going to get them (and by the sound of things, you're going to get them), there is nothing you can do about it. Sorry for your luck. I have them too- really, you get used to them after awhile. And they're not as noticable once there is no longer a baby in your tummy.
as PP said, they are genetic, but you can do things to decrease the severity of them. A good diet, not gaining a ridiculous amt. of weight, staying hydrating and keeping your skin moisturized. I used a cocoa butter lotion, same that my sister used during pregnancy, and while she did get a few tiny stretch marks, I get the feeling they could have been a lot worse without them (my mom got wicked ones as well, so Im GOING to have them most likely) but hopefully the lotion will help a little

luckily, non of the women in my family have them on their belly's. I have a few light ones on my bb's from my DS...non on my belly though! I used palmer's cocoa butter massage cream for stretch marks every day after showering on my belly and hips. Don't know if it was the good genes or the cream, but something worked!
