I don't care if it is supportive or not, or surprise or sympathy or my God you're crazy or for God's sake have it adopted...

I just want to see what people think of the idea when it is still theroetical.

I think you got a lot ofshit here for speaking the truth --- your truth.  While it might seem that you actually hated your son for quite some time, I don't view it that way (at all).

I think you would be perfectly fine, as would your unborn child, if you were pg right now.

From what I have seen you post- you don't enjoy newborns (at all) so I will feel badly for both you and the babe. Just remember they grow quickly and soon you will have a tons of fun toddler!

I would say that now that your son is older and you're truly enjoying him, you would enter another pregnancy knowing there's a light at the end of the tunnel.  I would also hope for your sake that you have a much easier newborn than you had the first time!

I don't know anything about the history you had with your son but I can gather it wasn't pleasant. I feel a little sad for you that you don't enjoy the newborn stage - only because I absolutely love it and think everyone should experience that joy but I don't hold it against you that you don't/didn't. I'd hope the next baby was different for you and wish you luck. And just to throw in a little snarkiness since that's what you're looking for...I'd hope you didn't really think the nest would go all nutso beserk just because you got knocked up again. Maybe they will, but that itself would be sad too.

I would be excited for you to get another go at it. they're not all alike, and you might have a great time with this one as a baby. and, even if not, it is gauranteed that he will soon be toddler- win/ win!!
