excuse me for being so blase, but women gave birth to children long before there were classes on how to do it... but dh wanted to go. so all day on june 20th i get to look at scary vagina pictures and talk about breathing techniques.

the plus? i get the tour. oh yes.

ugh. i need to register myself.  i had decided not too, but friends have said they learned useful things... so i'm going to suck it up and choose one... you know, at some point.

Good! Yes, women can give birth without a class. But I felt like DH and I bonded during ours and that was a plus. Since your DH was the one who wanted to go, I assume this will happen for you!

Funny, I registered today and mine's the same day but I have to go again the following Saturday. I thought it would be neat to experience at least once.

I don't want to take a class. I pass out at those birthing videos. I prefer to be ignorant and go with intuition and instinct. That's what I'm telling myself.

The videos were the worst part of the class.

We scheduled ours a couple of weeks ago and it starts the 23rd of April.  Everyone who has taken them before me always talk about "the video"... not really looking forward to all the information.  I was really thinking to go in knowing nothing might be better and just to ask if it normal.
