We have a big swing, the FS Rainforest portable swing and a bouncer. Jack hates all 3 and refuses to sit in any of them for more than 5 or 10 minutes. Is this something he might learn to love, or should I go ahead and put them on CL?
Mine loved his swing right away. The lonly time he like his bouncer is when it is in the bathroom while I shower. And it is probably just the running water that keeps him calm.
We were having the same problem, but DD had a breakthrough with the bouncer last week...and today sat in her swing staring at her mobile for a good 30 minutes content as could be! It was a miracle! Hope yours takes to them soon, it is helpful when you want to get things done...

Lol. This is the only time Jack will chill out in his bouncer as well. The rest of the time he screams.
DD will sit in the bouncy seat, but she prefers her car seat. With the swing, she liked it at first, then she wouldn't tolerate it for a couple of months, and now she likes it again. You can't put her in it when she's upset to calm her down, though. She needs to be calm going in, and then she'll swing happily and play with the toys while I do dishes or fold her clothes or whatever.
Since DS really isn't playing with toys yet -- he'll only enjoy the ones that actually entertain him. We got him a Fisher Price Aquarium bouncer with flashing lights and bubbles & moving fish & he LOVES it. He still tolerates the swing for only about 2 minutes -- although sometimes DH can get him to hang out there for a little while if he's napping. He only likes his Rainforest playmat when I'm shaking the animals around for him.
Re: When did your LO start liking their swing/bouncer, etc.?
