So the pernatologist told us he has an experimental way for gender predication he does for 13 weeks. He looked at the direction of the pelvic floor on the US. If it was perpendicular to the rest of the body then it was a boy, if it was parallel, then it is a girl.
Did anyone else have their OB do this? or have a predication as early as 13 weeks?
If so, were they right or wrong for you all?
Re: Gender prediction at the 13 week NT scan
I see a perinatologist too since I am high risk. When I was pregnant with my daughter I had the NT scan done at 10w6d and the tech told me that she was a girl. Obviously she was right. She basically explained it the same way, but more talked about the direction of the "tail". When I had my NT scan this time (at the same place) the baby was moving around so much that she didn't even try to look.
So since you were at a perinatologist, I wouldn't go buy all blue or pink, but you can probably trust it.
they did actually tell us it was a boy but i did not see any "parts" yet
we will see for sure very soon
thanks for the responses
Yes, some technicians can predict gender based on the angle of the nub. There is a great website that has tons of u/s scans - you should post it there, those women are awesome! I think the website is https://www.in-gender.com/cs/forums/ Go to the Ultrasound Prediction board.
